"following a series of 'unfathomable' decisions made by Teignbridge and Teignmouth councils I decided to do some research into how these decision were made. I consumed hours of council meetings, documents and minutes over several years. The more I consumed the more outraged I became. There is an agenda that is clearly not in the public interest. There is very little 'pause to think'. There is no meaningful public engagement - just tick box exercises that return the councils pre-determined plans. I have never actively engaged in politics before now. I make no apologies for being a serial 'paper spoiler', but this behaviour of our councils affects us all and I want it to change. The existing SDA councillors are the only voices that are willing to call out this behaviour. The rest of the bunch just tow the party line.

There needs to be much more Openness, Transparency and MEANINGFUL public engagement, with the residents actually being LISTENED to rather than being ignored- This is what I will fight for, on your behalf, if you trust me with your vote."

Jimmy Spoke at both Planning committee meetings in opposition to the TE3 (Exeter Road Development). He organised one of many protests ("Ingoring Them, Ignoring You") against the Bitton Park Parking Fiasco.

Jimmy runs his own Tech company which he founded in 1999. He has an Honours degree in Economics, a post Graduate Diploma in IT and was awarded Master of Philosophy for a body of research conducted at UCE Birmingham and the Motor Industry Research Association. He has a number of peer reviewed research publications and has presented his research at conferences around the world. He is a Chartered IT Professional and member of the British Computer Society. He has given lectures at MIT - Boston.
