Who #SavedtheAlex? Spoiler Alert: Not the Teignbridge Lib Dems.
With the backing of the Tories, the Lib Dems spent three years planning to demolish the interior of the Grade II listed theatre and risk losing the £9.2m FHSF grant for the district. Here is the story behind the ongoing saga 'Fact Checked' with footage from the key meetings when Teignbridge council backed the motions to remove the interior of The Alexandra Theatre. The South Devon Alliance councillors campaigned tirelessly alongside the Keep the Alexandra Theatre alive! campaign.
